Dosewell documentation
Dosewell is a Shopify theme by Stamat for brands that sell by what is inside the product: supplements, functional nutrition, clinical skincare and functional drinks, usually with a small catalog of 1 to 25 products. Version 1.0.0.
What Dosewell is for
Shoppers of these brands ask three questions before they buy: what is in it, how much of each ingredient, and why that amount. Dosewell answers them on the page instead of in a photo of the label:
- The formula panel. Each product’s Supplement Facts, Nutrition Facts, Key actives or Ingredients panel is a real HTML table, set like a printed label. It appears on the home page hero, on the product page, in quick view, in the menu and as columns of a comparison table. Search engines, screen readers and shoppers on phones can all read it.
- Formula colors and times of day. Each product can own one color and one time of day (Morning, With food, Evening or Anytime). The color paints the area behind the product photo; the time of day groups the cart and places the product on a day timeline.
- Price per serving and cost per day. Product cards and the product page show the price per serving. The cart adds up what a shopper’s routine costs per day.
- Evidence and comparison. Sections for the studies behind each dose, side-by-side formula comparison and a short quiz that recommends a starting product, built without apps.
Dosewell works without any of this data too: a product without formula fields shows a normal product page, and the home page sections show sample rows until you add your own.
Before you edit: duplicate the theme
Always work on a copy:
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Next to Dosewell, open the … menu and choose Duplicate.
- Edit the copy, preview it, and publish it when you are happy.
A copy lets you undo anything by going back to the original, and lets you compare a theme update with your current version side by side. Do this before every larger change, and before you edit theme code.

What you need
- A Shopify plan with the Online Store sales channel.
- Optional apps, none of them required:
- a subscription app if you sell subscriptions (Dosewell shows purchase options only for products that have a subscription plan);
- a reviews app if you want ratings and reviews (Dosewell shows ratings from the standard
reviews.ratingmetafield and has app block slots); - Shopify’s free Search and Discovery app to choose filters and set related and complementary products (Collections, search and filters).
A note on product claims
Dosewell displays what you enter. It does not write or check health claims. Make sure every amount, daily value and study you enter matches your product’s label and the rules where you sell. US supplement sellers usually add the FDA statement in Theme settings > Claims > Product disclaimer.
